Lee Friedlander & Robert Frank - Pita

Lee Friedlander is an American artist born on July 14, 1934.  His early work was inspired by Robert Frank and that influence can be seen in his work which consists of black and white photographs taken primarily on the street.  Many of his photographs include fragments of store-front reflections, structures framed by signs fences, posters, and street-signs. With this photograph in particular, at first you think that the thee in the center is the object of interest, but after taking a closer look, you realize that it is actually the fence that is framing half of the picture. I also think that the contrast in this picture is interesting.
