Robert Frank was born In Zurich, Switzerland in 1924. He played an essential role in shaping photography. His most influential work was published in his photobook, The Americans, published in 1958. At one point in his career, he pursues the art of film and directed many films and eventually returned to focus on still photography.
Robert Frank once said, "When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice." When I look at Frank's work, I find myself wanting to get a better look to contemplate the moment that he captured.
